From Obstetrics to Aesthetics: My Journey to Founding UltraGlo
Hello everyone, I'm Pooja Chandra, the founder of UltraGlo. Today, I want to share my story with you – my journey from a successful career in medical ultrasound, specialising in obstetrics, to starting UltraGlo, a clinic that offers cutting-edge High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatments.
For over 16 years, I worked in the field of medical ultrasound with a particular focus on obstetrics. There's a unique joy that comes from helping expectant parents see their baby for the first time, and that experience was deeply rewarding. But it also sparked a curiosity in me – a desire to explore how ultrasound technology could be applied in other areas beyond diagnostics.
It was at a medical conference that I stumbled upon a presentation about HIFU and its applications in aesthetics. I was immediately captivated by the technology's potential for non-invasive skin tightening and body contouring. I've always believed that true beauty begins from the inside, and I was naturally sceptical of surgery and invasive procedures. HIFU offered something different – a way to achieve real, visible results without going under the knife.
From that moment, I delved deeper into the world of aesthetic medicine. I pursued additional qualifications in dermal intervention, combining my longstanding passion for ultrasound with the exciting possibilities of non-invasive beauty treatments.
That's when the idea for UltraGlo was born. I wanted to create a clinic that brought together my passion for ultrasound technology, my belief in non-invasive procedures, and my commitment to helping people feel confident in their own skin.

It wasn't an easy decision to make the transition, but I believed that my expertise in medical ultrasound, combined with a deep commitment to excellence, could make a real difference in the aesthetics industry.
